Buying a car in Platte

Here is the honest answer for buyers: CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell them. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Why rent first

Rent for a weekend to answer the big question: is this the right car? Renting first means you buy knowing the car, not guessing. A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes.

What to check before you buy

Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure.

Between cars

Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives. Waiting for a car on order? A monthly rental covers the wait, up to 365 days a booking. If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives.
