Buying a car in Powell

CarmaCars is a rental company, so we do not sell cars; renting one first is how we help buyers. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Drive it like you own it

Try the car with the people who will ride in it most. Bring the car seat, the hockey bag or the dog, and see if it all fits. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it.

What to check before you buy

Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price. Read the contract before you sign, and ask about every fee you do not understand. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive.

Before your next car arrives

Waiting for a car on order? A monthly rental covers the wait, up to 365 days a booking. A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date.
