Buying a car in Progreso

Auto Loans in Progreso: CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell them, but we can still be useful. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Why rent first

A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes. You can rent for a week, or up to 365 days, and nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve. Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads.

A buyer's checklist

Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure.

Between cars

Between selling and buying, a weekly rental keeps the commute normal. Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one. There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed.

Before you plan

To be clear: CarmaCars rents cars in the Toronto area, not in Progreso. We cover about 80 km around Toronto; at about 2,645 km, Progreso is outside that.

Shopping in Progreso? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. We would rather tell you no than overpromise, so ask about Progreso if you like. Rates on this site are in Canadian dollars, before tax.
