Auto Loans: what CarmaCars does

There is nothing for sale here as a rule: CarmaCars rents cars. Here is how that helps when you shop. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

Rent it before you buy it

A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel. Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you.

A buyer's checklist

For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose.

A car meanwhile

A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned. Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one. A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale.

What we cover

CarmaCars works from Toronto. There is no CarmaCars branch in Progreso. About 2,563 km separate our location in Toronto and Progreso, far past our 250 km delivery area.

Shopping in Progreso? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. If you still want to ask about Progreso, send a request; we would rather say no than overpromise. Rates are shown in Canadian dollars.
