Shopping for a car in Raynell

CarmaCars does not sell cars or arrange loans; we rent cars, which helps when you are deciding. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Try it for a week first

Rent for a weekend to answer the big question: is this the right car? A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes. If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other.

Checks worth doing

Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit. Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package.

While you shop

Renting while you shop lets you compare cars without pressure. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date. Between selling and buying, a weekly rental keeps the commute normal.
