Shopping for a car in Roads

Shopping for a car in Roads? CarmaCars is not a dealer, a lender or a leasing company. We rent cars. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

Why rent first

If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other. A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel. A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is.

What to check before you buy

A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up.

Between cars

A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned. Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one. Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it.

Our area, and Roads

Roads is not an area we serve directly. CarmaCars is based in Toronto. About 1,277 km in a straight line separate Roads from central Toronto; our delivery stops at about 80 km.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. For buying in Roads, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. If you still want to ask about Roads, send a request; we would rather say no than overpromise. Our prices are in Canadian dollars, with tax added in the offer.
