Buying a car in Roxton

CarmaCars is a rental company, so we do not sell cars; renting one first is how we help buyers. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Rent it before you buy it

Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads. Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign. Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags.

Questions to ask

Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive.

Bridging the gap

Selling privately can take time; a rental means no rush. You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing. Need a car while a dealer prepares yours? Rent one by the week.
