Buying a car in Saint Clair Junction

If you are looking for financing for a car, the honest answer first: CarmaCars does not offer it, but a rental can help along the way. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Why rent first

Renting first means you buy knowing the car, not guessing. Bring the car seat, the hockey bag or the dog, and see if it all fits. If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other.

A buyer's checklist

In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes. Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN.

Between cars

Between selling and buying, a weekly rental keeps the commute normal. Waiting for a car on order? A monthly rental covers the wait, up to 365 days a booking. If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives.
