Buying a car in Schaffer

If financing for a car is what you need, know first that CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell them; here is what we can do. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

A test drive that lasts

Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car. If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other. A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is.

A buyer's checklist

Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car. Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts.

Bridging the gap

If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives. Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it. Need a car for a road trip before you buy? Rent one for the trip.

Toronto based

CarmaCars is based in Toronto and has no location in Schaffer. We cover about 250 km around Toronto; at about 672 km, Schaffer is outside that.

If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. Shopping in Schaffer? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. If you are unsure whether we can help with Schaffer, ask; we answer plainly. Prices on this site are in Canadian dollars.
