Auto Loans in Scranton, SC

Auto Loans: what CarmaCars does

Here is the honest answer for buyers: CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell them. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

A test drive that lasts

A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags.

Checks worth doing

For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up.

Bridging the gap

If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive. Need a car for a road trip before you buy? Rent one for the trip. A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale.
