Buying a car in Selmore

We are a rental company, not a dealer or a lender, and this page explains how renting can help a buyer. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Rent it before you buy it

Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. Try the car with the people who will ride in it most. Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car.

Buying smart in Ontario

Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price.

Between cars

Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one. Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives. A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned.
