Buying a car in Settegast

To be upfront: CarmaCars is a rental company and does not sell cars or arrange loans. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

Rent it before you buy it

Rent for a weekend to answer the big question: is this the right car? Renting first means you buy knowing the car, not guessing. A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes.

Before you sign

Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price. Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy.

Between cars

There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date. Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars. A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale.

Before you plan
