Shopping for a car in Sheldrake

CarmaCars does not sell cars. We rent them, which makes us a good place to try a model before you buy. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Why rent first

You can rent for a week, or up to 365 days, and nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve. Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car. A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you.

Before you sign

Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car. Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes.

Bridging the gap

If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive. Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives. There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed.

Honest about distance

CarmaCars is based in Toronto and has no location in Sheldrake. We deliver within about 250 km of Toronto. Sheldrake, about 1,305 km away, is beyond that.

Shopping in Sheldrake? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. For buying in Sheldrake, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. Ask us about Sheldrake in a request; a person answers honestly. All prices are in Canadian dollars.
