Buying a car in Sims

CarmaCars does not sell cars or arrange loans; we rent cars, which helps when you are deciding. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

Why rent first

If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class. Renting first means you buy knowing the car, not guessing. Rent for a weekend to answer the big question: is this the right car?

What to check before you buy

For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Read the contract before you sign, and ask about every fee you do not understand.

Bridging the gap

Waiting for a car on order? A monthly rental covers the wait, up to 365 days a booking. A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale. Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives.

Our area

CarmaCars works from Toronto. There is no CarmaCars branch in Sims. Sims lies about 895 km from our location in Toronto, well beyond our 250 km delivery area.

For buying in Sims, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. Ask us about Sims in a request; a person answers honestly. Rates on this site are in Canadian dollars, before tax.
