Shopping for a car in Sky

There is nothing for sale here as a rule: CarmaCars rents cars. Here is how that helps when you shop. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Try it for a week first

Rent for a weekend to answer the big question: is this the right car? A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer.

What to check before you buy

Read the contract before you sign, and ask about every fee you do not understand. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car.

A car meanwhile

Waiting for a car on order? A monthly rental covers the wait, up to 365 days a booking. Sold your car already? Rent by the week while you shop for the next one. Selling privately can take time; a rental means no rush.

Our area, and Sky

We do not have a location in Sky; CarmaCars works out of Toronto. About 1,171 km separate central Toronto and Sky, far past our 80 km delivery area.

Shopping in Sky? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. Tell us what you need in Sky, and a person will say straight away whether it is something we can do. Every rate on this site is in Canadian dollars.
