Shopping for a car in Sledge

We are a rental company, not a dealer or a lender, and this page explains how renting can help a buyer. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Why rent first

Take the car home, load it with your things, park it where you park, and then decide. You can rent for a week, or up to 365 days, and nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve. If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class.

Checks worth doing

Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches.

A car meanwhile

Between selling and buying, a weekly rental keeps the commute normal. Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it. There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed.

Our area, and Sledge

CarmaCars operates from a single location in Toronto, so Sledge is outside our area. By straight line Sledge is about 1,459 km from our location in Toronto; by road it is farther, and beyond our 250 km delivery area.

For buying in Sledge, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. If you are unsure whether we can help with Sledge, ask; we answer plainly. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and the offer shows the tax.
