Buying a car in Smithton

To be upfront: CarmaCars is a rental company and does not sell cars or arrange loans. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Try it for a week first

Renting first means you buy knowing the car, not guessing. Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags. A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is.

Buying smart in Ontario

Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts.

Bridging the gap

If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive. Selling privately can take time; a rental means no rush. A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned.
