Shopping for a car in Sonans

We are a rental company, not a dealer or a lender, and this page explains how renting can help a buyer. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

A test drive that lasts

Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. Take the car home, load it with your things, park it where you park, and then decide.

Questions to ask

Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package.

Bridging the gap

A monthly rental keeps life moving while your financing is sorted out elsewhere. If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive. Waiting for a car on order? A monthly rental covers the wait, up to 365 days a booking.

Where CarmaCars works

We are based in Toronto; Sonans is not somewhere we have a location. With Sonans about 764 km from Toronto, it is outside the 250 km we cover.

If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. Tell us what you are planning in Sonans, and we will say what we can and cannot do. Rates are shown in Canadian dollars.

Next step

Ask about renting first, and buy with a clear head.
