Auto Loans: what CarmaCars does

Looking to buy? CarmaCars rents cars instead, which makes a test week easy. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Drive it like you own it

Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags. If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class. Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car.

A buyer's checklist

Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town. Read the contract before you sign, and ask about every fee you do not understand.

A car meanwhile

Need a car for a road trip before you buy? Rent one for the trip. Need a car while a dealer prepares yours? Rent one by the week. Renting while you shop lets you compare cars without pressure.

Before you plan around us

There is no CarmaCars location in Springfield; everything we do starts in Toronto. From our location in Toronto, Springfield is about 654 km away in a straight line; we deliver within about 250 km.

If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. Shopping in Springfield? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. If you still want to ask about Springfield, send a request; we would rather say no than overpromise. Rates on this site are in Canadian dollars, before tax.
