Shopping for a car in Steeds

CarmaCars does not sell cars or arrange loans; we rent cars, which helps when you are deciding. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

Why rent first

You can rent for a week, or up to 365 days, and nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve. A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is. A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel.

Checks worth doing

A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN.

Bridging the gap

If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive. Selling privately can take time; a rental means no rush. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date.

Renting from Toronto

Our only location is in Toronto; Steeds is outside the area we serve. Steeds is about 922 km from our location, and our delivery area is about 250 km.

If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. For anything about Steeds, a request reaches a person who answers honestly. Every price here is in Canadian dollars.

Ready when you are
