Buying a car in Stephens Gap

CarmaCars is not where you buy a car, but it can be where you try one first. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Why rent first

Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads. Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car. Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags.

Before you sign

Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive.

A car meanwhile

If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date. Waiting for a car on order? A monthly rental covers the wait, up to 365 days a booking.
