Shopping for a car in Stepstone

There is nothing for sale here as a rule: CarmaCars rents cars. Here is how that helps when you shop. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

A test drive that lasts

Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car. Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you.

A buyer's checklist

Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit.

Before your next car arrives

Renting while you shop lets you compare cars without pressure. Need a car while a dealer prepares yours? Rent one by the week. A rental means you never have to rush a purchase because you need wheels.

Distance, honestly

CarmaCars operates from a single location in Toronto, so Stepstone is outside our area. About 737 km from our location in Toronto, Stepstone is too far for our delivery area of about 250 km.
