Buying a car in Strabane

CarmaCars does not sell cars, but before you buy one in Strabane, a short rental can answer questions a test drive cannot. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Drive it like you own it

Renting first means you buy knowing the car, not guessing. Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car.

Before you sign

Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package.

Bridging the gap

Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it. There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed. You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing.

Our area, and Strabane

CarmaCars works from Toronto. There is no CarmaCars branch in Strabane. Strabane lies about 951 km from central Toronto, well outside our delivery area of about 80 km.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. Shopping in Strabane? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. Send a request with what you need in Strabane, and we reply plainly, even when the answer is no. Our prices are in Canadian dollars, before tax.
