Buying a car in Topper

Auto Loans in Topper: CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell them, but we can still be useful. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Why rent first

If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class. Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel.

Checks worth doing

Read the contract before you sign, and ask about every fee you do not understand. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN.

Before your next car arrives

A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned. If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive. Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars.

Our area, and Topper

CarmaCars has a single location, in Toronto. Topper is outside the area we serve. At roughly 1,355 km from central Toronto in a straight line, Topper is outside our delivery area.

For buying in Topper, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. If you are unsure whether we can help with Topper, ask; we answer plainly. Our prices are in Canadian dollars, before tax.
