Buying a car in Upper Fraser

Looking to buy? CarmaCars rents cars instead, which makes a test week easy. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Drive it like you own it

Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads. You can rent for a week, or up to 365 days, and nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve. If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class.

What to check before you buy

Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package.

Between cars

A rental means you never have to rush a purchase because you need wheels. A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale. Between selling and buying, a weekly rental keeps the commute normal.

Reach and distance
