Shopping for a car in Upper Ridge

CarmaCars does not sell cars or arrange loans; we rent cars, which helps when you are deciding. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Drive it like you own it

Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags. Try the car with the people who will ride in it most. Take the car home, load it with your things, park it where you park, and then decide.

What to check before you buy

Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit.

Bridging the gap

Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it. A rental means you never have to rush a purchase because you need wheels. If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives.
