Buying a car in Upton

There is nothing for sale here as a rule: CarmaCars rents cars. Here is how that helps when you shop. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Why rent first

A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel. Rent the model, take it on the roads you know, and decide with confidence. Renting first means you buy knowing the car, not guessing.

Before you sign

A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car.

Between cars

Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date. If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive.
