Shopping for a car in Utica

CarmaCars is a rental company. We do not sell, finance or lease cars, but we can help you try one before you do. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Drive it like you own it

If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other. Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags. Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign.

What to check before you buy

Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive.

While you shop

Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars. Between selling and buying, a weekly rental keeps the commute normal. There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed.

What we can do for Utica

There is no CarmaCars location in Utica; everything we do starts in Toronto. Utica lies about 1,473 km from our location in Toronto, well outside our delivery area of about 250 km.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. Tell us what you need in Utica, and a person will say straight away whether it is something we can do. Prices on this site are in Canadian dollars.
