Shopping for a car in Vance

CarmaCars does not sell cars. We rent them, which makes us a good place to try a model before you buy. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Try it for a week first

Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes.

Checks worth doing

Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes.

Between cars

There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date. A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned. Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it.
