Shopping for a car in Vanderpool

To be upfront: CarmaCars is a rental company and does not sell cars or arrange loans. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

A test drive that lasts

Bring the car seat, the hockey bag or the dog, and see if it all fits. A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it.

Checks worth doing

Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy.

A car meanwhile

Waiting for a car on order? A monthly rental covers the wait, up to 365 days a booking. A rental means you never have to rush a purchase because you need wheels. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date.

Honest about distance

CarmaCars has a single location, in Toronto. Vanderpool is outside the area we serve. By straight line Vanderpool is about 588 km from central Toronto; by road it is farther, and beyond our 80 km delivery area.

If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. For buying in Vanderpool, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. If you want to check something for Vanderpool, send a request; a person replies honestly. Every rate on this site is in Canadian dollars.
