Shopping for a car in Walcott

CarmaCars rents cars in the Toronto area. We are not a dealership, and we do not arrange loans or leases. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Rent it before you buy it

Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags. Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes.

Buying smart in Ontario

Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up.

A car meanwhile

Between selling and buying, a weekly rental keeps the commute normal. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date. Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it.

The short answer for Walcott

We have one location, in Toronto, and none in Walcott. By straight line Walcott is about 1,295 km from our location in Toronto; by road it is farther, and beyond our 250 km delivery area.

If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. We would rather tell you no than overpromise, so ask about Walcott if you like. Our prices are in Canadian dollars, before tax.
