Shopping for a car in Wallace

CarmaCars does not sell cars, but before you buy one in Wallace, a short rental can answer questions a test drive cannot. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Why rent first

A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. You can rent for a week, or up to 365 days, and nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve. Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer.

What to check before you buy

Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN.

Bridging the gap

A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned. Selling privately can take time; a rental means no rush. Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it.

The short answer for Wallace

If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. Tell us what you are planning in Wallace, and we will say what we can and cannot do. Rates on this site are in Canadian dollars, before tax.
