Shopping for a car in Waples

There is nothing for sale here as a rule: CarmaCars rents cars. Here is how that helps when you shop. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Why rent first

Try the car with the people who will ride in it most. A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it.

Questions to ask

Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town. Read the contract before you sign, and ask about every fee you do not understand. Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose.

Bridging the gap

A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale. A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned. There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed.

Before you plan

CarmaCars has a single location, in Toronto. Waples is outside the area we serve. The distance is about 640 km in a straight line, more than our delivery area of 250 km.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. For buying in Waples, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. If you are unsure whether we can help with Waples, ask; we answer plainly. Rates are shown in Canadian dollars.
