Buying a car in Waskom

To be upfront: CarmaCars is a rental company and does not sell cars or arrange loans. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

A test drive that lasts

A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other. Renting first means you buy knowing the car, not guessing.

Questions to ask

Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up.

Bridging the gap

You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing. Waiting for a car on order? A monthly rental covers the wait, up to 365 days a booking. A rental means you never have to rush a purchase because you need wheels.

Renting from Toronto

We are a Toronto company with no office or lot in Waskom. At roughly 1,797 km from our location in Toronto in a straight line, Waskom is outside our delivery area.

If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. For anything about Waskom, a request reaches a person who answers honestly. Rates are shown in Canadian dollars.
