Shopping for a car in Windsor

CarmaCars does not sell cars, but before you buy one in Windsor, a short rental can answer questions a test drive cannot. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Why rent first

Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel. Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car.

A buyer's checklist

Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes. Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price.

While you shop

Selling privately can take time; a rental means no rush. You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing. Between selling and buying, a weekly rental keeps the commute normal.

Honest about distance

Plainly: we do not have a location in Windsor. CarmaCars is a Toronto company. We deliver within about 250 km of Toronto. Windsor, about 1,159 km away, is beyond that.

Shopping in Windsor? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. Questions about Windsor? Send a request and a person answers honestly. Every price here is in Canadian dollars.
