Buying a car in Sofkee

We are a rental company, not a dealer or a lender, and this page explains how renting can help a buyer. A rental of the same model for a week shows how it fits your commute, your parking and your family. Shop for the car anywhere you like, and rent the same model from us first if we have it.

Drive it like you own it

Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car. Take the car home, load it with your things, park it where you park, and then decide. Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign.

Checks worth doing

A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN.

Bridging the gap

Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars. Between selling and buying, a weekly rental keeps the commute normal. Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it.

Where we deliver

You will not find a CarmaCars location in Sofkee; we work from Toronto. Delivery covers about 80 km around Toronto; Sofkee is about 1,271 km away.

If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. For buying in Sofkee, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. Send a request about Sofkee, and we reply with a clear yes or no. Rates are shown in Canadian dollars.
