Buying a car in Abbott

CarmaCars is a rental company, so we do not sell cars; renting one first is how we help buyers. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Why rent first

Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. You can rent for a week, or up to 365 days, and nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve.

Questions to ask

Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car.

Bridging the gap

Selling privately can take time; a rental means no rush. Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars. Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one.

Where we deliver

We are based in Toronto; Abbott is not somewhere we have a location. Abbott is about 1,587 km from central Toronto in a straight line, beyond the 80 km we deliver to.
