Buying a car in Anchorage

CarmaCars does not sell cars. We rent them, which makes us a good place to try a model before you buy. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Rent it before you buy it

Try the car with the people who will ride in it most. A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel. A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes.

Questions to ask

Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive.

Between cars

Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one. Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives. A rental means you never have to rush a purchase because you need wheels.

Where we work

Plainly: we do not have a location in Anchorage. CarmaCars is a Toronto company. At roughly 1,555 km from our location in Toronto in a straight line, Anchorage is outside our delivery area.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. Shopping in Anchorage? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. Ask us about Anchorage in a request; a person answers honestly. Our prices are in Canadian dollars, with tax added in the offer.
