Buying a car in Ashers Fork

CarmaCars is a rental company, so we do not sell cars; renting one first is how we help buyers. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Drive it like you own it

A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes. Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads.

Questions to ask

Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up.

A car meanwhile

Between selling and buying, a weekly rental keeps the commute normal. Need a car while a dealer prepares yours? Rent one by the week. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date.
