Before you buy in Beaver
To be upfront: CarmaCars is a rental company and does not sell cars or arrange loans. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.
Try it for a week first
Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class. Try the car with the people who will ride in it most.
Questions to ask
Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price. Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used. Read the contract before you sign, and ask about every fee you do not understand. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy.
Before your next car arrives
Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it. If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive. Need a car for a road trip before you buy? Rent one for the trip.
