Car Financing: what CarmaCars does
If you are looking for financing for a car, the honest answer first: CarmaCars does not offer it, but a rental can help along the way. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.
Try it for a week first
A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. Take the car home, load it with your things, park it where you park, and then decide. A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you.
Buying smart in Ontario
Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit. Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car.
While you shop
A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned. If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive. Sold your car already? Rent by the week while you shop for the next one.
