Buying a car in Bemis

We are a rental company, not a dealer or a lender, and this page explains how renting can help a buyer. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Why rent first

A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel. A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes. If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class.

What to check before you buy

Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts. Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN.

Bridging the gap

Renting while you shop lets you compare cars without pressure. Waiting for a car on order? A monthly rental covers the wait, up to 365 days a booking. Need a car for a road trip before you buy? Rent one for the trip.

Our area

We do not have a location in Bemis; CarmaCars works out of Toronto. Bemis is about 1,222 km from our location, and our delivery area is about 250 km.

Shopping in Bemis? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. We would rather tell you no than overpromise, so ask about Bemis if you like. Note that our prices are shown in Canadian dollars.
