Car Financing in Bern, CA

Buying a car in Bern

Looking to buy? CarmaCars rents cars instead, which makes a test week easy. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Why rent first

Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads. A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you. Take the car home, load it with your things, park it where you park, and then decide.

Before you sign

For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town.

Before your next car arrives

Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives. Between selling and buying, a weekly rental keeps the commute normal. A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale.
