Buying a car in Bowden

CarmaCars is a rental company, so we do not sell cars; renting one first is how we help buyers. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Try it for a week first

Rent for a weekend to answer the big question: is this the right car? If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it.

Questions to ask

Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts. Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used. Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose.

While you shop

If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives. A rental means you never have to rush a purchase because you need wheels. A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale.
