Shopping for a car in Brookmeade

CarmaCars does not sell cars. We rent them, which makes us a good place to try a model before you buy. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Rent it before you buy it

Renting first means you buy knowing the car, not guessing. A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is. Bring the car seat, the hockey bag or the dog, and see if it all fits.

What to check before you buy

Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive.

A car meanwhile

Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars. Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one. A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned.

Where CarmaCars works

CarmaCars is not in Brookmeade. Our one location is in Toronto. About 538 km in a straight line separate Brookmeade from our location in Toronto; our delivery stops at about 250 km.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. Shopping in Brookmeade? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. Write to us with the dates and the place, and we will give you a straight answer. Note that our prices are shown in Canadian dollars.
