Buying a car in Calvert

Shopping for a car in Calvert? CarmaCars is not a dealer, a lender or a leasing company. We rent cars. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

Why rent first

Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads. Try the car with the people who will ride in it most. A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel.

Before you sign

Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car.

Before your next car arrives

A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date. Renting while you shop lets you compare cars without pressure.
