Buying a car in Clay

CarmaCars is a rental company. We do not sell, finance or lease cars, but we can help you try one before you do. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

Rent it before you buy it

A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes. Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign. If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other.

Before you sign

Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit.

Bridging the gap

Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives. Renting while you shop lets you compare cars without pressure. Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one.

Before you plan around us

Our only location is in Toronto; Clay is outside the area we serve. Clay lies about 709 km from our location in Toronto, well beyond our 250 km delivery area.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. Need something in Clay? Send a request and a person replies with an honest answer. Our prices are in Canadian dollars, with tax added in the offer.
