Buying a car in Clearfield
CarmaCars is a rental company, so we do not sell cars; renting one first is how we help buyers. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.
A test drive that lasts
Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads.
What to check before you buy
Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit. Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car.
Bridging the gap
If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date. Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it.
