Before you buy in Comins
CarmaCars is not where you buy a car, but it can be where you try one first. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.
Try it for a week first
A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is. Renting first means you buy knowing the car, not guessing. Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads.
What to check before you buy
Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price.
A car meanwhile
Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it. If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive. Renting while you shop lets you compare cars without pressure.
