Buying a car in Cook

CarmaCars is a rental company. We do not sell, finance or lease cars, but we can help you try one before you do. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

Try it for a week first

Rent for a weekend to answer the big question: is this the right car? Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags. A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes.

A buyer's checklist

Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts. Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used. Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package.

A car meanwhile

A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale. A rental means you never have to rush a purchase because you need wheels. A monthly rental keeps life moving while your financing is sorted out elsewhere.

CarmaCars and Cook

CarmaCars has a single location, in Toronto. Cook is outside the area we serve. At about 1,613 km from our location in Toronto, Cook is past the 250 km our delivery covers.

Shopping in Cook? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. Write to us with the dates and the place, and we will give you a straight answer. All prices are in Canadian dollars.
